What's iS2 anyway?
As far as I can tell the U of C wants to:
Job 1.
identify areas of administrative duplication and redundancy, then stop people doing those things
Job 2.
find out how to use the software we have more effectively, so more things fall under Job 1
...with the net result of saving the U of C a bunch of time and money.
The scope is pretty narrow, in that they are only looking at central services like IT, HR, Accounting etc.
