Q: Is it possible for you to communicate with the TA's about what we are supposed to do for Assignment #1, cause its very annoying to be getting mixed instructions about what we have to do. (For examble, how many charts we need to compare with Su 07 Fa 07 Wi 08.)

A: You need 3 charts, one of which compares data from this class with data from previous classes, as per the assignment handout (Word document).

Q Hi, My TA told us that we need to use all 4 categories when I thought you said we only needed to use 3. She also said that for one of the charts we need to combine 2 of the categories. Is this true? Thanks.

A: Refer to to the assignment handout. 3 charts. 10 Marks for comprehensiveness. If you can include all 4 categories in 3 charts, you would get full marks for comprehensiveness. One way to do so, is the TA's suggestion of combining two categories in a chart -- and this is an example I showed in class. Combining two categories into a single chart is included in one of the example spreadsheets on BB.
