Questions

hi. I want to talk about the TBA 3 that we had. there are few thing involved with this assignment. 1): we did not learn anything about this assignment(JES) in the lecture and unfortunately we did not enough practice in the tutorials because we had only 3 tutorial for this assignment. 2): there were 2 questions which we did not learn about them in the tutorial(which are: Negative picture and also making line in the picture) 3): Time is a big concern that was not only for this assignment but also TBA 1. I personally could not answer few questions perfectly because of lack of time. Students hope to get good marks on the assignment which but unfortunately TBA 1 and TBA 3 shows the opposite of this fact. I would appreciate if you discuss about this issue on Tuesday.

I too found the TBA 3 to be too many questions in too little time. I realize we were to be tested on the Skills List posted for Problem Solving, but I think the amount of questions we were asked was unfair given the format and time allowed. If I even had another 15 minutes I would have got a few more things right. However, some of the questions/concepts we were asked were not covered at all in our three tutorial sessions. This clearly is unfair to those who were not introduced to the concepts in tutorial. Perhaps a more unified effort from the TA's would better prepare us for the quiz. If the TA'S could cover the same material in their tutorial sessions that were needed for the quiz's it would be more beneficial to all of the students. I hope the TA's will consider the amount of time allowed and if nothing else can be done, be generous on the marking of this time boxed assignment.

I agree with it. we talked to TA for the TBA#1 about the time,but he said he is not responsible for the time. in fact we had same problem with the TBA#3 also. and the other thing is few questions were not covered by the TA. I hope the professor pay attention to these concerns and take these into his consideration so that the marks would be changed.

I really found it to hard because we did not have enough practice on the TBA 3. furthermore the time wasn't enough at all and this indeed is not fair. I agree with the first person who said about this assignment. JES was not covered in the lectures. also what i heard from previous students, they did not have any computer programming(JES), instead they had power point. and i don't understand the point of learning JES for business student. anyway this assignment lke the TBA 1 was not fair at all in terms of time , also few thing were not covered for this assignment. we would be thankful if the professor would change the marking for this assignment.

Well I understand that we have to learn these material, but on the other hand the TA's have to spend more time to teach these material. The TA's taught really good for the first 2 assignments because students might have known excel and access knowledge from before, but the third one (JES) was a new program which not most of students knew it, therefore it takes more practice which students did not have enough of that. time is an important issue which unfortunately we were not given enough time and we couldn't do this assignment well. I hope the professor would consider the marking scale changes for this assignment.

The material for the TBA 3 was not taught in the lecture and we are struggling to teach ourselves in the small amount of time allout the workload is unmanageable. after all these strugle we we can't finish the assignment during the time given to us. we would be thankful if the professor would change the marking for this assignment.
